Hello and welcome to Food-Rave!

This sort of came about because I have this sorta problem – I seem to enjoy finding and ‘collecting’ recipes on the Internet and things like Evernote (Evernote rocks by the way) have made it really, really easy for me to find and save recipes that I am planning to make ‘later.’  Later typically turns into never, which is really sad, because I’m really loving the absolutely fantastic cooks that are out there in the world.  My wife does the cooking for our family (although I used to prior to the kids being in the picture) and she’s a phenomenal cook, but I still have this urge to cook.  It’s not just the eating – it’s the making as well.

Anyway, as my recipe pile in Evernote approaches 1,000 recipes that I’ve found on the Internet (I do actually try to cook as many as I can, but…) and, when you couple that with the recipes that I got from my mom and grandmother and the recipes that my wife got from her family, it’s a lot of food that needs to be made.  I decide to put this blog up on the off-chance that anyone else might find my obsession beneficial – all of the posts link back directly to the sites of the fantastic bloggers that put them out into the world – please click through if something sounds interesting so that the proper credit can go to the person that really deserves it…

Thank you and let me know if I can improve anything (I’m not a tech-guy really, but I do play around a bit).  Also, the pictures on the recipes for featured and headlines are not pictures of the food in question (as you may have noticed) – they are meant to be ‘category’ pictures – for desserts, appetizers, entrees, etc.

Thanks.

As a cookbook collector for quite some time, I can definitely relate. My cookbooks may be fairly organized however, not my recipes!!!

IMHO, What a GREAT!!! idea you have stumbled upon here.

Thank you so much for sharing…

Louise – thank you for your note and your comment. Regardless, I’m having fun with it.

I just hope that I’m helping other people find some really cool recipes to try and I hope that I’m helping the wonderful cooks that come up with those recipes get more of an audience and more traffic.

    Thank you!
